22 from my Twenty-Second year

Hello peoples! i have been out of the blog world due to no internet! but i thought how marvelous it would be to come back and tell you that tomorrow is my BIRTHDAY! WHOOP! i love birthdays (especially my own ofcourse). So I thought id recap on what a blessed TWENTY SECOND YEAR OF LIFE ive had. It might just have been the best year yet..

 1. After my last birthday, I began to finish up my work  with the Barnes family before i started graduate school. Blessed, honored, and loved is what i felt my entire time working with Lawson Barnes, the cutest kid ever. He and his family taught me so much about Autism, patience, and God's unconditional love.  I also gained a wonderful, Godly friend through the Barnes: Austin May. very blessed to know her as well!

2. At the end of july, I attempted to bring out my creative martha stewarting ways to prep my new  ancient apartment for the coming year we would be sharing together. alone. I very much enjoyed my goodwill finds, and actually having my own place. Here are my favorite crafts i made for my cute little victorian home. Headboard for $5 made with shutters from goodwill. Shelf was made from old barnwood, and then i jazzed it up with knobs from anthropologie.  and i found that little table and sanded the stew out of it!

3. Moving in  in august was really hard for me. I was forced to live without two people I had spent the last 4 years living with. Katie and Kristin. We had gone our seperate ways after leaving starkville, and it was a really hard adjustment to not be able to crawl into bed for  Golden Girls watching  with them at night. and guess what, IM STILL MISSING THEM!
Sophomore year

4. I started graduate school. SCARY. I spent the whole first month praying that MUW was exactly where God wanted me to be, even if it did mean 3 more years of school, and the potential of sticking my fingers in people's mouths for the rest of my life :) but Guess what? I LOVE IT NOW. and i cant wait to start clinicals in the fall.

5. I am thankful for one girl. Without her this past year, i would have went nuts. ALESHA BAILEY: I am so glad you were there, and I wasnt the only weirdo having to go back and take pre reqs alone! (it just means we will be extra smart :))

6. I am so very thankful Columbus put in a chick fil a. without it, i would have been very sad, lonely, and...skinnier.

7.  Friends in starkville, and football season were a huge relief to my first semester.

8. I also started a little job. I taught preschool to 12yrs  tumbling and cheer classes. And although, i wanted to pull my hair out a few times, it was a blessing in disguise. There is no greater joy than teaching a 4 yr old how to do a cartwheel after 2000+ attempts.

9. Family: since i was in columbus (and had no washer and dryer), i spent a lot of time going to louisville so that my aunt and mamaw could wash my clothes :)  and i kept 2 little munchkins a few times! I LOVE MY FAMILY!

10. and ofcourse....december rolled around...and all of a sudden, THERE WAS A RING ON MY
FINGER.

11. and the planning began...

12. and a date was set....

13.   THEN A DRESS WAS BOUGHT!! :)

14.  AND I have still have 5, 789,595 things to do before December 15, 2012. but its all worth it! because after that day, im going home with my best friend. and hes mine. for good.

15. I spent the majority of my spring semester stuck in textbooks, doing projects, and crying on the phone to Pete and my mom. very thankful that they love me enough to say, "get yourself together samantha claire"

16. I also went on my first turkey hunting adventure... If you missed that blog, here ya go WILDLIFE ADVENTURES

17. ALL GLORY TO GOD, I somehow managed to end up with good grades my first year as a speech therapy student. lets hope that doesnt get ruined come this august! i also learned a whole tremendous lot!

18. Pete and I started pre marriage counseling with George and Joy Ross, and they have been such great models and prayer warriors for us as we prepare to become one!

19. I came home for the summer, and started back working at my favorite place in Senatobia. Upstairs Closet. I love those ladies at the closet so much..its like having  9 extra moms/grandmas to make sure i am acting like a true southern lady should. ...(by the way, Ladies do not sweat, they perspire!  you should always have enough fruit for lunch in case you have company.  and good grief, do not ever return something to a store, if you bought it two sizes too small, and now youve split out the crotch. its just not right.)

20. Pete and I had a wonderful engagement party in june given by some pretty wonderful people. WE sure do have great friends and family that love us!
